Qualifications and experience:
Lizzie Hart has a First-class BA Music technology Degree and Master’s degree in Social Work and has over 20 years’ experience of direct work with children and young people, including five years post qualifying as a social worker, assessing and providing intervention and support for children and families.
Lizzie is a skilled music composer and songwriter with over a decade of experience in arranging and creating songs. Lizzie is proficient in music and sound editing and has a wealth of experience with a wide variety of music software including Logic pro, Pro-tools, Cubase and garage band, as well as Final Cut Pro and Photoshop. Lizzie plays the piano and drums and is singer/songwriter. As an aspirating artist/singer/songwriter and composer, she also manages the promotion, distributions, and royalties of her own original music.
Lizzie has also worked in Collaboration with Stepping Stonez Ltd where her originals songs from her first album “Herstory” were incorporated as part of the music soundtrack for their 2014 debut film “three.one.six”.
Lizzie’s passion for working with children and young people originally stemmed from delivering youth music programs to disadvantaged, vulnerable young people at risk of exclusion across several London Boroughs, including Hackney, Waltham Forest, Brent, Barnet, and Enfield.
Through this work, Lizzie realised that her interests extend far beyond music production. Therefore, she decided to pursue a master’s in social work to expand her knowledge and practice in safeguarding children, enabling Lizzie to combine her qualifications and interests.
Since qualifying in 2017, Lizzie has been working as a social worker within the Referral and Assessment Team, Domestic Abuse Team and Adolescent Safeguarding Team, working on a range of complex cases with various other professionals from the statutory and voluntary sector. In conjunction with social work, Lizzie began establishing her own music business, ‘Everybody Loves Music.’ Both professions allowed Lizzie to help young people and their families on a deeper level.
Since forming Everybody Loves Music, this small community-based business has continued to grow and Lizzie went on to establish and form partnerships with Christian Action Housing, Enfield & Hertfordshire Council’s, Youth Justice service’s and Westlea school in order to provide music programs for vulnerable young people in North London and Hertfordshire. Lizzie plans to continue expanding Everybody Loves Music to enable more young people to have greater opportunities and life chances.
